What is a Raid Train?A raid train on Whatnot (or other live selling platforms) is when sellers take turns hosting live auctions, and at the end of each auction, they send their viewers to the next seller in the lineup. So basically, when one auction ends they use the "Raid" feature to send their buyers to the next auction... and on and on.

What are the Benefits of Participating in Raid Trains?Increased Exposure: Being part of a raid train means you’ll receive viewers from other sellers, potentially increasing your audience size. Community Building: This is an excellent opportunity to network with other sellers and build relationships within the Whatnot community. More Followers: You will get more followers because you will have exposure to a new group on buyers, especially if you create a "Followers Only" giveaway Sales Boost: More eyes on your auction can lead to more bids and higher sales.

How do I prepare for my time slot?Inventory: Ensure you have enough items to auction during your allotted time. Create your Show: Create your show and use the correct show graphics. The photo and video are located at this link HERE Prelist: Prelist your items or create about 25 general items to auction off. Promotion: Promote your time slot on social media ahead of the event. Mention the raid train and encourage your followers to join in from the start. Test it out: Do a rehearsal pop-up show and see how it goes. Track how many items toy can sell in one hour. Learn from any mistakes you make. Setup: Have your stream setup ready to go ahead of time, with good lighting, clear audio, and an appealing background. Ask Questions: Please don't be shy. Feel free to ask me questions. My phone number will be available for anyone that signs up. I prefer text messages.

Start and end on time!Be prepared to start about 15 minutes early. Start your show like you would start any other show. A moderator or the host may come into your show and give you an update about when your raid will come in. When you get raided, you will see the text in the chat. Sometimes it is good to have a giveaway at this point but it is never required for my raids. Make sure that you know who you are raiding next and check the spelling. Make sure you set an alarm and get ready to raid the next person about a minute before the hour ends. Try not to be late.

Things that can go wrong before, during and after your time slot.Time Conflicts: Stick to your time slot to ensure the train runs smoothly. If you foresee any issues with your slot, need to cancel or have an emergency, notify the organizer as soon as possible. Remember, the person before you and after you are counting on you. Technical Issues: If you encounter any technical difficulties, contact the raid train organizer/host or Whatnot support immediately. Someone else can take over your slot temporarily. Show Ended by Accident: If this happens, start it back up and then continue or raid the next person. Where is the Raid?: If you do not get raided or the raid seems to be late, please notify the Host. Most likely, someone will notify you if there is a delay. Can't locate the next Raid!: This is actually common. If the next person cancels, has an emergency or just forgot, you may be asked to stay on a little longer until we get someone else to take over. For some sellers this is great because they have longer to sell. But if you absolutely cannot stay, tell your host so we can pass off to another seller and keep the shows going.

What Should I Do After My Slot Ends?Support the Next Seller: Stick around in the next seller’s stream for a bit, interact with their chat, and continue to engage with the community. Be a Moderator: Offer to be a moderator for the shows following you. Follow Up: After the raid train, follow up on social media to thank participants and buyers. Share your experience and encourage new followers to stay tuned for future auctions. Come back here and book more Raid Trains!
