Today is my first Show. My wife has been on the platform for a while, but has been unable to do shows due to her health for the last several months. So I had the great idea to start selling myself. I don't have followers yet. Am I going to waste my time doing a show without any followers?
❓Have you ever tried the “5 Method”?
Let me explain for those of you that don’t use this method.
Following these simple steps every day for one week can be very helpful to increase sales. And the number “5” can be changed depending on the level of seller that you are. Some people may choose “20“ for example
🟢 Visit 5 shows for at least 5 minutes each and chat within the shows without asking to advertise
🟢 Contact 5 previous buyers and ask them if you can share your next “huge show” with them
🟢 Follow 5 new sellers
❓Did you know that you can network with local stores and get free shipping supplies and other stuff?
All it takes is a quick conversation with the manager of your local TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Target…. Let them know that you are an online reseller and you are looking for boxes to use for shipping. And then ask for permission to go in the back or dumpster and collect empty boxes.
You may not want to go dumpster diving, but this conversation can achieve several different things. once you start networking, exchange, contact information, managers will start putting things aside for you that they would have thrown out. This can include a lot of “disposables“ that they do not return to a warehouse but would have destroyed.
Test it out, and tried to work with at least one manager in your area.
I hadn’t thought about this great idea (Thanks @Vizzuals), but I’m definitely going to give it a try. Shipping supplies can really add up, so getting free boxes helps protect your profit. You can also get free shipping labels from UPS by setting up a business account, and free Priority Mail boxes from USPS—but remember, those are only for Priority shipments.

Since selling on Whatnot, the biggest lesson I’ve learned is that in order to do well on the App you have to be consistent.
