❓ What is your "Why"? Why do you do what you do?
We feel that helping others succeed not only fulfills a purpose but also improves the WhatNot platform as a whole. ❓ What has been your proudest accomplishment as a seller?
Having sellers reach out to us personally to thank us for the knowledge and information our podcasts and Q&A provides.
❓ What has been your biggest mistake or learning moment?
Waiting six months to go live after we got approved to sell. We should have spent 1-2 months on WhatNot buying and getting familiar, not six.
❓ What is your one "pet peeve" when watching a live show?
A dirty phone/camera screen and when you can tell a seller isn’t authentic.
❓ How do you try to support or encourage other sellers?
We always make ourselves available for any help needed. We encourage networking during our shows.
❓ What’s one tip you would give to someone just starting out on Whatnot?
Spend a little bit of time on the app to get familiar with the workings of the app and gain friends/followers socially. This app is 65-70% social. You must immerse yourself in that to grow.
❓ What is one feature you wish Whatnot would add, remove or update and why?
Bring back the bloops and a search feature in follows/followers would be nice.
❓ Talk about a favorite or funny memory from one of your shows or a show you watched as a buyer/seller.
We got a vintage clothes locker from as far back as the 70s. All men’s clothes and we had Bill try on a pair of 1970 men’s Daisy Duke shorts. There’s now screenshots and clips floating around the app of it. It was hilarious! - Needa
❓ What is your current short or long-term goal that you currently have?
Our short term goal is to be more consistent in our selling shows.
❓ Where do you see Whatnot and/or yourself in 5 years?
WhatNot is still in its infancy. It will takeover the reselling market.
❓ If you could go back to Day-1 on Whatnot, what would you do different?
Start sooner!
❓ Anything else you'd like the community to know about you?
We are a family run channel consisting of Bill Needa and son, William. We have been in the reselling business for nearly two decades and we do it because we love it.
