❓ What do you primarily sell on Whatnot?

Books, Comics, and Art

❓Do you run Raid Trans, Showcases, Battles, Meetups, Seller Chats? I offer seller support specific shipping chats once a month and seller support chats while making art where people can come in and ask questions. I may start hosting short trains once a month as my first train I hosted was amazing. Just too busy with my business and doctors appts to do it frequently. ❓ What types of services do you offer to other sellers.

❓ What is your "Why"? Why do you do what you do?

I love reading and the creativity it helps spark. Also, I just love selling books. Whether graphical or not. ❓ What has been your proudest accomplishment as a seller?

Building my community both local and online. I've traveled to both sides of the country to meet people I'd have never met otherwise.

❓ What has been your biggest mistake or learning moment?

To put post-it notes on everything that sells under random. Or to say least better separate orders if I know someone is going to help me ship. I had items go to the wrong buyer. Thankfully, the buyer who didn't receive their items was more than happy to receive similar as I did not have the same item in stock.

❓ How do you try to support or encourage other sellers?

I try to go into shows of people I am friendly with and just be in the chat. There is nothing worse for most sellers than a quiet chat (unless they have built shows based around quiet chats.)

❓ What’s one tip you would give to someone just starting out on Whatnot?

Run Multiple test shows and private shows. Camera and audio quality kill shows fast.

❓ What is one feature you wish Whatnot would add, remove or update and why?

it would be nice if gifting was brought back. I have saved so much money but, I have saved so much money. I miss sending the silliest of things to friends.

❓ Talk about a favorite or funny memory from one of your shows or a show you watched as a buyer/seller.

Last year I ran a fundraiser show to take my geriatric cat to the vet. I originally had two shows planned, one in comics and one in books. Within fifteen minutes my comic book community raised the $700 I needed. So I started running everything at a dollar while trying not to cry. I gave updates to everyone about her and was able to host a regular book show. And I shoved so many comics in every box I had labels for. Because I can't just take their money and give them nothing in return.

❓ What is your current short or long-term goal that you currently have?

Long-term goals are to get my inventory and recording spaces separated. At the moment they are the same space and it is frustrating to put it mildly.

❓ Where do you see Whatnot and/or yourself in 5 years?

Within the next five years, I'm hoping to have a brick and mortar space. Along with community activities that I have been dreaming about set up and rolling.

❓ If you could go back to Day-1 on Whatnot, what would you do different?

Nothing. I was just starting and had a plan as a new seller in place.

❓ Anything else you'd like the community to know about you?

I run this business with my dad, Ray. He isn't seen often but you're most likely to see him during a comic show.
