❓ Did you know that when running a giveaway, you must CLEARLY state exactly what the prize is? You cannot label it a “random giveaway” and decide later. It must be specific, like “$10 gift card” or “Loungefly Bag.” 🎁✨

🗣️My opinion, I dislike giveaways. PLEASE… If I give you a booster raid, don’t feel pressured to do a giveaway. Just run an item $1.00 lower, or just say “Thank You Vizzuals”. Save money, attract the right buyers. Of course this wouldn’t apply to larger sellers… 💸👀

Instead, I recommend using Buyer Appreciation giveaways. These reward real supporters, and compels people to purchase. 🛍💛 non-buyers CAN when these giveaways so remember, once it starts, you cannot change the item or send something different— if the winner didn’t purchase. 🚫📦

❓ Did you know that I run over 120 groups just like this one?

🌎 I have put together over 120 groups for all US states and Canada. Some areas have more than 1 group. For example, New York, Florida, Texas and California all have more than 6 groups each.

⏰ It takes me 2 hours to create the “question of the day” and post them by hand to each group. I am also constantly scanning these groups to answer questions, give technical helpl and monitor for anything inappropriate. So if I miss anything, please bring it to my attention.

I’m Kelly (NorthwoodsRelics). I’m a mother of 6 almost (baby is 17) all grown up children. I started on WN about 6 months ago. I sell a lot of vintage variety: brass, glass, rusty crusty, primitive ect… I started this journey as a way to clear out some of my finds to make room for new stuff and earn a little extra cash. I am almost to my 1k items sold and so excited to hit this next goal😁! After that I need to setup some new goals and where I would like this to take me in the next 6 months. ❓Have you ever tried the “5 Method”?

Let me explain for those of you that don’t use this method.

Following these simple steps every day for one week can be very helpful to increase sales. And the number “5” can be changed depending on the level of seller that you are. Some people may choose “20“ for example

🟢 Visit 5 shows for at least 5 minutes each and chat within the shows without asking to advertise

🟢 Contact 5 previous buyers and ask them if you can share your next “huge show” with them

I started Whatnot in April I think of this year. I originally started to have something to do with my daughter and to help her support her son. I really enjoy selling things and learning new things. I own Chicwood Candle Co and my shows primarily are Candles, but I occasionally do home goods and miscellaneous items. I have been in the boutique industry for 10 years, previously in clothing, now our family owns a seasonal occasional shop featuring 70 small businesses in Edina.
